What Can I Expect?
Our primary concern initially, is to determine if you are a chiropractic case or if our wellness/nutritional approach is appropriate to get the results that you want for a particular condition.
For Chiropractic Cases
The examination, preceded by a consultation/history, consists of physical, orthopedic and neurological testing as well as functional assessments. Of course, the degree of involvement is determined by the complexity of the case. Upon completion of an evaluation, Dr. McNabb will explain his findings and answer any questions. If your case is accepted, appropriate personalized treatment is provided; always in an attempt to address the underlying cause.
If Dr. McNabb believes that you need additional diagnostic testing, like MRI/CT scan or that chiropractic treatment is not the best choice for your condition, appropriate referrals can be made.
For extremity issues, a separate exam may be performed, if necessary, depending on the condition or injury. For example, there are range of motion tests, palpation, orthopedic tests and muscle testing unique to each of the following areas: shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, ankle/foot and temporomandibular joints.
Laboratory testing and xrays are available if necessary.
For Wellness/Nutrition Care
We use natural methods to restore and maintain your health, WHOLE FOOD products, protomorphogens, glandular extracts, trace minerals, organic enzymes, herbal medicines, cytosol extracts, whole dessicated products.
The three steps our wellness approach focuses on are:
- 1) reducing the destructive effects of stress
- 2) reducing/eliminating chemical toxicity
- 3) removing undetected neurological damage
With these three approaches, we often get results from problems no one else has helped. And how do we do all that you ask?
Surveys, questionnaires, history, coupled with a unique physical examination, specific for nutritional deficiencies and imbalances, are usually necessary to get to the underlying cause of the symptomatology you are experiencing.
The above tests are also used to objectively measure the progress of one’s treatment. In addition, depending upon the complexity of the case, further investigation using blood, saliva or hair, usually reveals in more detail, how the body has been malfunctioning. They help to make a more accurate diagnosis and proper treatment options, especially when not helped by other doctors.
